Former Kaizer Chiefs talisman Khama Billiat has reportedly returned to South Africa after his first full season in Zimbabwe.

The 2015/16 Footballer of the Season winner joined Yadah FC after failing to secure a club in the Premier Soccer League after leaving the Soweto giants.

FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS RETURN TO SA AS FREE AGENT

He joined Yadah in February after spending over six months unattached following his departure at Kaizer Chiefs last June.

However, he went on to wow fans with his first full season in Zimbabwe. As the highest earner in the league, the former Kaizer Chiefs talisman didn’t disappoint.

He was involved in 24 goals for Yadah FC. Khama Billiat netted 13 goals and made 11 assists in 26 appearances. However, he also won the Player of the Month award once.

His performance in his first full season in Zimbabwe has since made him one of the favourites to win the Soccer Star of the Year award (Footballer of the Season).

After all, Khama Billiat capped his club form with the national team’s success. However, Khama Billiat’s stay in the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League is in doubt.

Khama Billiat will become a free agent on paper again at the end of December. Reports in Zimbabwe suggest that his dance with Yadah has since ended.

No lucrative offer has been tabled to the soon-to-be free agent, who several PSL clubs are now monitoring.

However, Khama Billiat seemingly fuelled the rumours after reportedly leaving Zimbabwe for South Africa.

Khama Billiat has yet to confirm the news, but several photos of the star at the airport have seemingly flooded the online space.

The former Kaizer Chiefs star even shared some photos but did not openly confirm the rumour mill.

CAREER

He had his youth career with Aces Youth Soccer Academy before joining CAPS United in 2010. However, he switched the floor to Ajax Cape Town the same year.

He left Ajax Cape Town in 2013 for Mamelodi Sundowns. In 2018, he joined Kaizer Chiefs in a big money transfer. However, his stint with the Soweto Giants was not as colourful as many thought it would be.

After dumping the Soweto giants in the eleventh hour in June 2023, Khama Billiat joined Yadah FC in February 2024. Will Khama billiat have another dance in the PSL?
