Bangladesh Add Extra T20I vs UAE Before Pakistan Tour

weOn Monday, worldwide media noted Bangladesh will play an extra third T20I against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on May 21 in Sharjah.

A story claims the hosts consented when the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) asked the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) for the extra match.

The report also indicated that the demand was made since the BCB is still unsure about the following tour of Pakistan for a five-match T20I series, which was originally scheduled to start on May 25 but the week-long suspension of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 means that the two cricket boards will have to adjust the agenda.

The action is meant to keep the Tigers in the Gulf so they may fly straight to Pakistan should the tour go forward.

International media last week claimed that although the BCB got government clearance for the trip, it did not acquire the official letter—which should be sent shortly.

“Also,  have got the green signal (from the government) though we are yet to receive the official letter which we are expecting sooner than latter but as far as I know government have decided in principle that they will let us visit Pakistan for the upcoming tour,” a BCB official informed an international sports website.

“We will start discussing with our players after receiving the official government letter since some of them are reluctant to travel for security-related reasons. We can guarantee, among other things, not pushing anyone.”

For the uninitiated, Bangladesh leads the now three-match series 1-0 with Parvez Hossain Emon’s century driving them to a comfortable 27-run triumph in the first match.
