Bridge of Weir’s presentation

GT40

Within Bridge of Weir’s enclosure is the GT40, redefined and electrified by Everrati in partnership with Superformance, with its iconic interior design finished in ‘Whisky’-coloured, lightweight automotive leather. With a high-power 62.5 kWh bespoke battery and 800bhp on offer from twin motors, the electrified GT40 can surge to 60mph in less than four seconds. The car’s authenticity is equally beyond reproach, being the world’s only GT40 EV listed in the official Shelby Registry.

Lotus

Long-term Bridge of Weir customer, Lotus, is also present at the brand’s enclosure in the form of the marque’s all-new Emira sportscar. Launched in 2021, the Emira present at Concours of Elegance is a ‘First Edition’ featuring Tan Nappa leather from Bridge of Weir, combined with a Dark Verdant exterior. As part of the model’s First Edition palette, six exclusive colours are available within a totally redesigned and modernised interior.

Land Rover

Bridge of Weir is proud to supply its leather to Land Rover for the all-new Range Rover, also present at the brand’s enclosure throughout Concours of Elegance in Autobiography SWB form, featuring Charente Grey with Ebony perforated Semi-Aniline leather seats with Ebony interior.

McLaren

Also on display is a McLaren Speedtail XP5 in Velocity-effect paint. Bridge of Weir worked closely with the Woking-based supercar brand to develop a new lightweight full and semi-aniline leather for the Speedtail model which features three seats and a central driving position. Bridge of Weir also created 157 unique colours for the hyper grand tourer and the Speedtail was the first production car for which Bridge of Weir used digital printing technology. The interior of this example is adorned with Volcano Orange and Jet Black-coloured lightweight and Semi-Aniline leather.

Aston Martin

Bridge of Weir leather can also be found adorning the open-top luxury cabin of the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster. The powerful exterior design language of the open-top driver’s car is complimented with an interior of ‘Onyx Black’ Full Grain Bridge of Weir Leather.

Mustang

Charge Cars’ Electric Mustang is based upon the famous 1967 Mustang Fastback – famous as one of the most beautiful muscle car designs of all time – and features four electric motors combined with a 63 kWh battery to produce 400 kW of power and 1520 Nm of torque. Complete with full Bridge of Weir Aniline leather in ‘Chestnut’, the Mustang’s interior becomes an opulent, modernised environment for both driver and passenger.

Taking place at Hampton Court Palace, London from 2nd-4th September, Concours of Elegance features a central concours of some of the world’s rarest cars, all of which have been hand-picked by the Concours Steering Committee – a respected team of historic car experts.

Entering its third year, Bridge of Weir’s Design Award is also set to be given to the standout car from the concours that exemplifies remarkable exterior and interior design.

Leading from the publication of Scottish Leather Group’s Environmental, Social and Governance report, Bridge of Weir’s enclosure at Concours of Elegance will also see the launch of its own ‘Measurably Different’ campaign, expressing elements of nature – Air, Fire, Earth, Water, Plant, Ice, Dark and Light – to highlight the brand’s highly sustainable approach to leather production.

“We are delighted to once again be celebrating the very best in automotive design at this year’s Concours of Elegance in London. Our bespoke enclosure is hosting some of our customers’ seminal creations – all tailored with our Fine Automotive Leather.
