Celine Dion announces return to the stage after long hiatus
2026 sees Celine Dion coming back to her first love after a long break brought on by ill health.
French-Canadian singer Celine Dion has announced that she will be back on stage later this year.
Dion is scheduled to do 10 performances in Paris in September and October.
The 58-year-old singer made the announcement on her birthday on 30 March in a video message on her Instagram.
“…I want to let you know that I’m doing great. I’m managing my health, feeling good, singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing,” began Dion.
“But I have to tell you something very important. Over these last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love. Even in my most difficult times, you were there for me. You’ve helped me in ways that I can’t even describe, and I’m truly so fortunate to have your support.”
“I’ve missed you so much, and that brings me back to my birthday, actually. So, this year I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again, in Paris beginning in September this year,” Dion continued.
“I’m so happy, I’m so ready to do this. I’m feeling good. I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, of course, a little nervous. But most of all, I am grateful to all of you. I can’t wait to see you again,” she concluded.
Registrations for access to pre-sale tickets for the Paris shows are open until 2 April, with ticket sales available only via official platforms AXS, Ticketmaster, and Fnac Spectacles.

Celine Dion’s health struggle
In 2022, Dion announced that she had been diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS), a rare, progressive neurological disorder causing severe muscle spasms and rigidity. Her journey with the illness was documented in the documentary, I Am: Celine Dion.
This forced the singer to take a long break from her career.
