In Karachi was held the tournament media briefing. This prestigious competition, which has been named the PSA Challenger Series for Men and offers a prise money of US $20,000, will feature 23 matches in all.

The competition this year is being played by five Pakistani players and nineteen international players who are all ranked internationally. With players from eight different nations—Egypt, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Czech Republic, Japan, Germany, England, and the Netherlands—the competition gains a global flare.

This year’s event has four new categories: PSA Women Satellite Series, U-15 Boys, U-13 Boys, and U-15 Girls—all of which aim to encourage diversity and inclusivity in the sport. Fifteen matches in each category will give young players a stage on which to display their abilities.

Given its official registration with the London, UK-based Professional Squash Association (PSA), the championship is highly significant on the international squash circuit.
