Chiefs’ Zwane: ‘I sleep around 3, 4 AM – it’s tough’
None of us will be dreaming of coaching after this. Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane says there's hardly any sleep in this job.
Is anyone keen on coaching Kaizer Chiefs? Arthur Zwane says sleeping for two hours on most nights is part of the job.
The Amakhosi coach revealed his sleeping health, after four months since his appointment as the head coach on 26 May 2022.

ARTHUR ZWANE COACHES KAIZER CHIEFS TO FOUR WINS IN EIGHT GAMES
So what has Zwane delivered yet? Since the start of the season, the Glamour Boys have played eight league games and one MTN8 cup game, where the results brought four wins, two draws, and three defeats.

ZWANE SAYS SLEEP IS SCARES
The Soweto-born coach had a chat with the media after his side’s thrilling 2-1 win over SuperSport United last Saturday. Zwane took a moment to give us a picture into the coaching lifestyle.
“To be a coach, while it is a profession, it’s a lifestyle. Right now [after the SuperSport game on Saturday], I’m going back home; I’m still going to go and analyse the game, watch the game properly,” Zwane said via FARPost.

“Look at it and pay attention to details as to where we can improve in our game. Also, work with the individuals, and work on the corrections to make sure that we improve as a team.
“I might go to bed around 3am in the morning, or around 4am. I must wake up in the morning because we have to do regime.

“I sleep two hours most of the time, if not three hours. But when I get the opportunity to sleep, I do.
“Sometimes you need to sleep properly so that you can think properly.
“It’s our job. Unfortunately, I chose to be a coach. So there is no time to sleep; whether we are winning games or losing, there’s no time to sleep.
“It’s a tough job for coaches because it’s more about results. It’s more about getting the team together, trying to get players to think alike and get that chemistry right, and it all boils down to one thing – you as the coach have to get it right,” Zwane added.
