Completed Transfers: Pirates’ new signings
Betway Premiership giants Orlando Pirates have done what they always done in June-July: sign new talent. Here's the latest list.
Orlando Pirates have been acting in character like the Sea Robbers we all know. The Soweto giants have revealed three new signings for the new season.
The club known as the Buccaneers always begin the battle in the transfer window before a ball is kicked, and this winter has been no different.
Orlando Pirates have typically signed some of the most promising talent in South Africa’s lower leagues and a Betway Premiership team like SuperSport United.
The new faces include Selealo Rasebotja from Matsatsantsa and the highly-rated attacker Thuso Moleleki from Orbit College in the Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC).
- Selaelo Rasebotja, 26, midfielder (SuperSport United)
- Gilberto, 23, winger (Petro Luanda, Angola)
- Thuso Moleleki, 24, forward (Orbit College).
Additionally, Friday morning’s news have revealed that Orlando Pirates have agreed on terms to sign Stellenbosch FC right-back and captain Deano Van Rooyen. The deal follows after Thabiso Lebitso’s new injury, while Bandile Shandu is only expected in the spring.
