EU lists seven ‘safe’ countries as means to facilitate deportation
Bangladesh, Colombia, Egypt, India, Kosovo, Morocco and Tunisia were included Wednesday on an EU list of "safe countries of origin" in a bid to facilitate migrant returns as Brussels faces pressure to tighten asylum rules. Migrant rights groups have criticised the weakening of asylum safeguards as "dangerous".
