The article, which gained rapid attention online, strongly questioned traditional narratives of patriotism and power, arguing that younger generations can no longer be persuaded through slogans, seminars, or rhetoric.
Nizamani wrote that genuine patriotism grows from equal opportunity, basic rights, and functioning systems — not from imposed narratives.
In his piece, he asserted that Gen Z and upcoming generations are increasingly aware, informed, and capable of independent thinking, largely due to access to the internet and education, despite systemic attempts to control public opinion.
The removal of the article has sparked debate on freedom of expression, censorship, and the shrinking space for dissenting voices in Pakistan’s media landscape.
