Families of detained South African engineers call for their release from E. Guinea

It's been over a year since two South African engineers were jailed in Equatorial Guinea. The UN says they are being arbitrarily detained while some suspect their detention could be linked to an ongoing standoff between Pretoria and Malabo. Frederik Potgieter and Peter Huxham were arrested in February 2022, just two days after luxury properties and a yacht, owned by the son of Equatorial Guinea President Obi-ang, were seized in South Africa.
