Forgotten Kaizer Chiefs defender to be let go for free?
Kaizer Chiefs could lose Happy Mashiane in the coming months with AmaZulu and SuperSport United set to pounce.
Kaizer Chiefs could lose their youth development product for free in the coming months.
Happy Mashiane (26) has hardly featured under new coach Nasreddine Nabi only making one appearance this season. SuperSport United and AmaZulu are two teams believed to be interested in the 26-year-old star.
According to Soccer Laduma, Matsatsantsa inquired about the Kaizer Chiefs defender but did not follow-up.
“There is interest in Happy,” a source told Soccer Laduma. “Actually two clubs have inquired about him. SuperSport United inquired about him at the start of the season, but nothing came out of that. They only have Neo Rapoo as their main left back and they wanted the more experienced Mashiane in that position.”
Kaizer Chiefs risk losing Mashiane for nothing
Mashiane could also reunite with former Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane. The defender worked under ‘10111’ during development and also again when Zwane was in charge of the senior team.
“AmaZulu want him to cover for Riaan Hanamub, And remember coach Arthur Zwane knows him better and believes in him. So it will depend on the negotiations with Chiefs and the clubs,” a source told the publication.
Under Nabi, Kaizer Chiefs have stuck to the centre-back pairing of Rushwin Dortley and Inacio Miguel. Given Msimango is a backup together with Thatayaone Ditlhokwe.
Where should Mashiane go?
