A first look at the modern rendition of Cinderella with Camila Cabello as the lead character is out and it’s receiving some mixed reviews. Lovers of all things film have been buzzing about Cinderella — but what do they think about the first-look clip?

FIRST-LOOK AT ‘CINDERELLA’

Amazon Prime took to Twitter on 25 August to share a first-look clip of Cinderella which is set to be released on 3 September on Amazon Prime Video. The clip sees Camila Cabello as Cinderella getting ready for the ball with her fabulous fairy godmother, Fab G, played by Billy Porter

“Ready for my Fab G to show up whenever he’s ready. Enjoy this exclusive clip from Cinderella,” wrote Amazon. 

TWITTER REACTS

The first look at Cinderella had a few mixed reactions with one tweep asking if it’s the final edit of the movie. 

“Is…is this the final edit- like u guys actually decided it couldn’t possibly be any better than this? the pacing i mean like come on”. 

Another tweep wrote: “You should’ve left this in drafts”. 

There were however good reviews about the clip.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ‘CINDERELLA’

This rendition of Cinderella has a few modern twists that fans are sure to love. Cinderella has aspirations of becoming a successful businesswoman and hopes to open her very own dressmaking shop! 

Directed by Kay Cannon, the film will also have a few musical numbers from Idina Menzel who also acts in the film as Cinderella’s evil stepmother. Camila Cabello will also show off her voice in the musical numbers.

The film was meant to premiere in cinemas but due to COVID-19, Amazon opted for the film to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. The film will be available on 3 September.
