ASAVELA MNGQITHI-MQOKIYANA ON HER ‘DEAD BEAT’ FATHER
The former Isibaya actress took to Twitter on Friday 02 September to address a misconception about the things she has achieved.
In April this year, the actress announced that she got married, and last week she shared pictures of her new lavish home that she built with her husband.
Asavela told fans that her father, Manqoba Mngqithi cannot take any credit for her success because he was not there. The media personality said that she struggled without him and achieved her success without him. She also told those who have an opinion to keep it to themselves.
“Whatever I have/will still achieve never credit all my hard work to manqoba mngqithi and his money. Ngihluphekile ngaphumelela engekho. If you have an opinion or inkinga Cela uyidle. Love and light I guess [sic]”
TWEEPS DEFEND ACTRESS FROM TROLLS
Asavela’s tweet was met with lots of negativity from tweeps who called her disrespectful. Others told her not to speak negatively about her fathers and rather forgive him.
However, others were on Asavela’s side, defende her from trolls.
“The way people are making excuses for the deadbeat father and invalidating Asavela’s feelings. Going as far suggesting that she must just forgive him and work on having a relationship with him. As a society, we are in the dog shem,” one tweep commented.
Another Twitter user wrote: “Men in the comments clearly unaware that in life, you reap what you sow. How about making sure you know where your children are and start playing an active role in their lives so you don’t have to defend nonsense.”
