‘I’d rather buy a Tazz’: Mzansi reacts to Musa Keys’ R100k fit
Zola 7 and Zahara's names quickly popped as locals discussed Musa Keys' decision to spend over R100k on an outfit.
South African celebrities absolutely love showing out – especially on social media. The latest celeb to showcase his love for expensive designer clothes is local music producer Musa Keys. The artist recently stepped out in an outfit that costs a whopping R100 000 and blew his many fans away.
Some people however found that the outfit was quite the reckless spend – especially since it’s enough to buy someone a well-priced second-hand car.
Musa Keys’ R100k fit gets tongues wagging
For many of us working class people, spending over R3000 on clothes in one month is just not justifiable. For a lot of local celebrities, however, R3000 is small change.
In fact, many South African celebs are known to spend hundreds of thousands on clothes and it’s quite shocking to see.
People like MaMkhize, DJ Tira, and DJ Zinhle are only a few of the media personalities who have rocked clothes with hefty price tags and now Musa Keys has joined the gang.
The music producer recently stepped out rocking an R64k Botega jacket with R23k shoes to match.
Taking to Twitter, gossip blogger Musa Khawula broke down the cost of the outfit:
“Musa Keys’ Bottega Veneta’s vest jacket costs R64 000,” wrote Musa in the tweet that was posted on the app on 4 September last week.
Mzansi has mixed reactions
While some loved that he is able to splash his hard-earned cash on the things he loves, others found it to be quite unnecessary. People even mentioned the names of other celebs who went broke after living lavish lifestyles.

“I’m concerned about artists that spend so much money on expensive clothes. I hope they have businesses they invested in & they will sustain them forever Because here in SA your music doesn’t last/hot forever.”
