Each team made a single alteration. India replaced Mohammad Siraj with Kuldeep Yadav, while Hazratullah Zazai substituted Karim Janat for Rashid Khan’s team.
India emerged victorious in three out of their four group matches in the T20 World Cup. In New York, they emerged victorious against Ireland, Pakistan, and the United States. However, their last group match against Canada in Florida was cancelled due to rain.
However, Afghanistan began their tournament impressively by defeating Uganda with a margin of 125 runs. They went on to secure three straight victories until experiencing a significant defeat of 104 runs against West Indies in their most recent encounter of the tournament.
