A US ​government plane carrying ​top US officials landed in the ​Pakistani ‌capital Islamabad ⁠on Saturday for ‌peace talks with Iran. Washington and ​Tehran are ‌set to begin negotiations to permanently end the six-week-old Iran ​war that has killed thousands of people across ​the Middle ​East. "These talks are supposed to begin in the coming hours", said Shazaib Wallah, France 24 correspondent in Islamabad, Pakistan. Yet in a last-minute hurdle, the "Iranian side has put up a demand that Lebanon should be included in the ceasefire", he added.
