Iran in mourning after President Raisi's fatal helicopter crash
Iran confirmed President Ebrahim Raisi's death on Monday (May 20) after his helicopter crashed in the East Azerbaijan province. In the aftermath of his death, Scott Lucas, professor of US and international politics at the Clinton Institute and University College Dublin, tells FRANCE 24 that "the [Iranian] regime will rally around [this death] to show that it has legitimacy and that it has mass support".
