Iran releases Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi for 21 days on medical grounds

Iranian civil rights activist and 2023 Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi has been released from prison for three weeks after undergoing surgery, her lawyer said Wednesday. Both the UN and the Nobel Committee have called for permanent clemency for Mohammadi, who has spent most of the past decade behind bars.
