American rapper and fashion designer Kanye West just made a shocking confession – he has never read a book in his life. Kanye, who just opened the doors of his very own school – Donda Academy – opened up about his negative feelings towards literature while explaining that he would much rather talk than read.
According to the Jesus Walks rapper, reading books is very much like being forced to eat Brussel sprouts – a vegetable notoriously hated by children all over the world.
Kanye West says he hasn’t read a book before
Kanye West says shocking things all of the time but this may just be the most shocking thing yet.
The rapper just revealed that he has never before completed a book because reading is like eating vegetables.
According to West who spoke during a new episode of the “Alo Mind Full” podcast that aired Friday, he has never read a book and really prefers speaking over reading.
The rapper, who just opened the doors to his tuition-based Christian private school, Donda Academy, says reading is like eating Brussel sprouts.
“I actually haven’t read any book,” West said.
“Reading is like eating Brussels sprouts for me. And talking is like getting the Giorgio Baldi corn ravioli.”
What does the school of a man who doesn’t have to offer?
While the Simi Valley, California academy hasn’t been accredited yet, the online profile explains that students participate in “full school worship,” core classes of language arts, math and science in addition to lunch, recess and enrichment courses such as visual art, film, choir and parkour.
“Using an ethic of integrity and care, Donda Academy prepares students to become the next generation of leaders, thinkers and innovators by providing them with a world-class education that includes a rigorous core curriculum, and an emphasis on sustainability, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving,” a “Who We Are” section of the Donda Academy website reads.
