In an interview with Thabiso Mosia on SA FM, Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung urged the supporters to be patient with the coach and the players.
Motaung said as the management, they understand that they have a young squad and a young coach, and that they should be given time to go through the early challenges of delivering for Chiefs before being judged.

Furthermore, Motaung said this season is about patience and understanding that these new Chiefs players are young and trying to find their feet.
Motaung added that the Chierfs management doesn’t expected instant success, saying there is nothing like that in football where there is competition.

Under’s Zwane leadership, Chiefs have collected 11 points in eight league games, and they are placed ninth on the PSL log.

“Everything needs time, we’ve got a young squad, we’ve got a young coach. When we plan to appoint the coach, when we plan to acquire players, we need to give them a chance,” said Motaung on SAFM as per iDiski Times.
“Some players take time to adapt, coaching systems sometimes take time. The challenges that they have to go through, the experience of playing for the badge of Kaizer Chiefs, they have to go through these challenges now so that when we’re settled we know we’re on the roll,” he said.
“We had a season where we were leading the league by 12 points, we lost within 30 minutes, those are experiences that we’ve learned. This season, it’s all about patience, it’s about understanding that the boys are young and adapting. There are challenges in football anyway.”
“It’s not like by tomorrow you can expect instant results. This game is full of challenges. There are teams who started at the top, where are they today? They are at the bottom.
“Points-wise, we are at the top with the other teams, it’s only goal difference,” continued Motaung.
“Football is a marathon, there is no instant success in football.”
