Kaizer Chiefs’ possible return to CAF football excites Dr Motsepe
Dr Motsepe feels a successful Kaizer Chiefs team is great for South African football, and he's happy they could return to CAF football.

CAF president Dr Patrice Motsepe is relishing the prospect of seeing Kaizer Chiefs back in Africa’s inter-club competitions.
Kaizer Chiefs could find themselves campaigning in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
And there are two ways they can qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup – they first have to beat Pirates in the Nedbank Cup.
Secondly, should that not happen, they should hope for Pirates to finish second on the Betway Premiership log.
Now, addressing the media in Sandton on Wednesday, Motsepe said one cannot have South African football without a successful Chiefs.
Amakhosi last played continental football in 2021 when they defied the odds to reach the CAF Champions League final.
However, they lost 3-0 African giants Al Ahly, much to the disappointment of millions of their fans.

DR MOTSEPE RELISHES KAIZER CHIEFS’ POSSIBLE RETURN TO CAF FOOTBALL
“I am happy Kaizer Chiefs are back in the CAF Confederation Cup. You can’t have South African football without a successful Kaizer Chiefs,” said Motsepe.
“Let me say, without a successful Lamontville Golden Arrows, AmaZulu FC, and all the others so that they feel I have a duty to recognise all of them.
“But I am so proud of the work the Motaung family has done.”
