KZN man injured by stray bullet while sleeping in his home
A 29-year-old KZN man was injured when a stray bullet penetrated the roof of his Waterloo home while he was sleeping early Thursday morning.
A stray bullet injured a 29-year-old KZN man after it penetrated through the roof of his home in Phase 6, Waterloo, in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The man was asleep in his bedroom when the bullet entered through the tin roof and struck him on the head.
Responders called to scene
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) officers arrived at the house shortly before 2am.
The KZN man told them he had been lying on his bed when he suddenly felt the impact.
Officers later found a 9 mm projectile inside the home.
It remains unclear where the shot was fired from. Police have not identified any suspects, and they have not established the circumstances surrounding the gunfire.
