The leopard was last seen in the area between Glen Agricultural College and the N1/R30 interchange, prompting authorities to urge residents to remain vigilant.
Searching for the animal
The department confirmed that wildlife experts are actively searching for the animal and are working to safely capture it and return it to an appropriate habitat.
Residents of Glen and surrounding communities have been advised to exercise caution and avoid approaching the animal under any circumstances.

Anyone who spots the leopard is urged to immediately contact Mr Leepile on 079 951 0200.
Authorities stressed that the public should not attempt to track, corner, or photograph the animal, as this could pose a serious safety risk.
