A woman who spent several years in a British prison and now spends time trying to help other prisoners has told FRANCE 24 that picking up the pen whilst she was behind bars saved her life. Lady Unchained now spends her time running workshops inside prisons to encourage others to take up writing or poetry to channel their emotions. She now also presents a radio programme on the British prisons' radio station, which encourages its listeners to call in their raps and has been nominated for several awards.
