NETFLIX RELEASES ‘LUCKIEST GIRL ALIVE’
Luckiest Girl Alive stars Mila Kunis as TifAni “Ani” FaNelli – a woman who is forced to confront a devastating secret from her past when she is interviewed for a true crime documentary. Ani begins to confront some dark truths from her past that she can no longer keep buried.
“Determined once and for all to silence the whispers of suspicion and blame, Ani must weigh her options carefully, when telling the whole truth could destroy the picture-perfect life she’s worked so hard to create,” reads the synopsis of the series.
The film is based on Jessica Knoll‘s bestselling novel Luckiest Girl Alive. Kunis also produced the series, which is directed by Mike Barker. Luckiest Girl Alive has been marked as trending and under the top 10 in South Africa. The film has a 75% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

- Chiara Aurelia plays Young Ani on the film. Attending a snobby private school on a scholarship, TifAni struggles with bullies and several traumatic events that will haunt her into her adult life.
- Finn Wittrock plays Luke Harrison, Ani’s fiancé. Luke seems like a dream guy, but when Ani’s past comes to light, it becomes clear that he’s less helpful and understanding than he initially seems.
- Connie Britton plays Dinah Fanelli – Ani’s mom. Her relationship with her daughter is strained, to say the least — but Dinah always contends that she’s put Ani first.
- Jennifer Beals plays Lolo Vincent – Ani’s boss. Lolo takes a liking to her young employee and offers her a job when she moves from magazine editor to a position at the New York Times.
- Justine Lupe plays Nell Rutherford – Ani’s best friend. Nell is a trust-fund baby who runs in the same circles as Ani’s wealthy boyfriend and future in-laws. Despite that, she’s loyal and dedicated to her friend.
