In case you did not know, Thabang Sibanyoni is actually a Mamelodi Sundowns player. The striker is moving to a fourth loan club.

THABANG SIBANYONI JOINS RICHARDS BAY

Following a solid season with the University of Pretoria last term, the 28-year-old has joined the Natal Rich Boyz. His previous loan club have been JDR Stars, Sekhukhune United, and SuperSport United. “Mamelodi Sundowns forward Thabang Sibanyoni has completed a season-long loan move to DStv Premiership side Richards Bay FC,” FARPost reported.

WHY RULANI MOKWENA CHOSE WYDAD CASABLANCA

Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has given a special reason for choosing Wydad Casablanca in Morocco.

Following his shock exit from Kabo Yellow, the 37-year-old coach was duly in high demand across Mzansi and the continent. According to the Soweto-born coach, his next destination was inspired by a determination to avoid Sundowns.

“It was a good offer from Richards Bay but I just couldn’t stay in South Africa and go up against Sundowns as a coach,” Mokwena told Andile Ncube on SportsNightAmplified, as per iDiski Times.

“One of the reasons actually why I left South Africa and knowing that Wydad is not in the Champions League, too, I wasn’t looking forward to play Sundowns.

“Not because of the team and things but because of emotional connotation and it would’ve been very difficult for me to be on the opposite bench and see some of the players.

“One of the big motivations for me was to try and leave the country, because the bond that I have with some of these players would’ve made it very, very difficult for me to be on the opposite side.

“I’d probably have to ask the doctor to give me a sick note for this match,” Mokwena concluded.

SEKHUKHUNE STAR TO MAMELODI SUNDOWNS

African Football League and DStv Premiership holders Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to announce a new left-back.

According to FARPost, Babina Noko’s 19-year-old left-back Asekho Tiwani has impressed Sundowns after playing 16 games last season.

“According to sources close to the negotiations, personal terms with the player are being discussed, and the two clubs are finalising the transfer details. The deal is expected to be completed in the coming days, ahead of the new season,” FARPost reported.
