Due to a torn left calf muscle, Dushmantha Chameera is no longer a part of the Sri Lankan squad, and has been replaced by Kasun Rajitha.
Men’s T20 World Cup gets 4 replacements from ICC
The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Event Technical Committee has approved four player changes. Dushmantha Chameera has been replaced in the Sri Lankan squad by Kasun Rajitha after he suffered a torn left calf muscle.
Currently residing in Sri Lanka, Rajitha plans to go for Australia as soon as possible. In addition, Ashen Bandara, a traveling reserve, will come in for Danushka Gunathilaka, who has a torn left hamstring.
Because of a fractured left foot, Zawar Farid no longer has a spot on the United Arab Emirates roster. So Fahad Nawaz, the team’s traveling reserve, has taken his position. Finally, Tymal Mills, a player from England, will replace Reece Topley (who is out with a left ankle injury) in Australia. Mills is already there.
