MTN8 semifinal draw: Orlando Pirates get Mamelodi Sundowns
This year's MTN8 semifinals will see Orlando Pirates take on Mamelodi Sundowns in a two-legged affair which will be played in August.
The semifinal draw for the 2025-26 MTN8 has been conducted, and there is one interesting fixture to look forward to.
Four teams have qualified for the semifinals, and they are Orlando Pirates, Sekhukhune United, Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Pirates advanced by beating Polokwane City 2-0 at Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
On the same day, Sekhukhune United came from 2-nil down to stun TS Galaxy 3-2, and book their place in the semifinals.
On Sunday, Stellenbosch FC beat AmaZulu 3-2 after extra time before Sundowns hammered Richards Bay FC 4-0 in Tshwane.
According to the PSL, the two fixtures, which will be played over two legs, will be played on the weekend of 16 and 17 August.
