OFFICIAL: Orlando Pirates confirm Saleng to Orbit College deal

Orlando Pirates have officially confirmed an agreement has been reached with Orbit College over Monnapule Saleng.

Saleng’s future with Pirates had been a subject of speculation since he last featured for them in December 2024.

Reports of him possibly leaving Pirates continued to gain momentum as there appeared to be no solution to his saga.

Now, after what was a frustrating season, Saleng can now start afresh at a club which nurtured his talent many years ago.

He played for Orbit College for years before being signed by the now defunct Free State Stars.

And that’s where Pirates saw and liked his style of play before signing him in what was a major coup at the time.

However, Saleng did not immediately play for Pirates as they sent him out on loan to Swallows FC in order for him to gain PSL experience.

And the 27-year-old grabbed that opportunity with both hands, and he went back to the Sea Robbers to become a household name.

“Orlandopiratesfc.com can also confirm that an agreement has been reached with Orbit College FC for the loan of Monnapule Saleng,” reads part of the statement.

“The 27-year-old will spend the 2025/26 season with the newly crowned outfit.”
