MTN8 semifinal predictions
Pirates 2-2 Sundowns
Although Pirates have lost their last five matches against Sundowns across all competitions, the mood in the Sea Robbers camp is good at the moment. The Buccaneers actually won the last meeting between the sides in the MTN8, a 4-3 aggregate semifinal success in 2011-12. Sundowns have struck 14 times in their last five meetings with the Buccaneers, and there’s so much attacking quality on both sides. We just have to back goals. Pirates should get a decent result though, making it all to play for in the second leg.

Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 AmaZulu
Chiefs and AmaZulu have both struggled to be clinical so far in 2022-23. Amakhosi have failed to score in two of their last four competitive matches, while Usuthu have fired blanks in three of their last five. Remember that the sides played out a 0-0 draw not so long ago. We expect it to be tight, but Chiefs will grind it out.
