Parts of Johannesburg facing 10-hour water shutdown

Parts of Johannesburg will experience low pressure to no water for 10 hours on Wednesday, 7 May due to planned maintenance.
The maintenance is scheduled from 6:00 – 16:00.
JOHANNESBURG WATER TO CONDUCT PLANNED MAINTENANCE
Johannesburg Water said its teams will be relocating a 300mm diameter pipeline. Regarding alternative supply, it is unclear whether water tankers will be provided.
Affected areas: All the streets in all Orange Farm extensions
Likewise, on Thursday, 8 May, the entity will also conduct maintenance on Thursday, 8 May at Amarosa ext 55, and all the streets will be affected during this period.
Customers will have no water for at least eight hours as Johannesburg Water teams will be tying in a new pipe to the existing infrastructure.
Regarding alternative water supply during the maintenance period, it is also unclear whether water tankers will be provided and where they will be located.
