Thabiso Monyane has been what Orlando Pirates fans want to see every season, a young development player shining with sheer raw talent. Unfortunately for the defender, he will watch this weekend’s game on the sidelines.

PSL TO SUSPEND ORLANDO PIRATES STAR

In preparation for this weekend’s action, the PSL has confirmed the players that will be facing disciplinary cautions that included red cards or accumulated yellows.

One of those players has been confirmed as Pirates’ 22-year-old Monyane.

MONYANE WINS AUGUST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Just not long ago Monyane was in the wilderness last season while co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids were in charge, fast-forward to this term and the Tembisa-born player has played in eight of 10 games, including a goal and an assist.

Following the month of August’s action, Pirates invited fans to vote for their Player of the Month and Monyane walked away with the award.
