Rassie Erasmus laughs off talk of coach exit

With the All Blacks currently undergoing a major coaching shake up, there have been reports in New Zealand to suggest that Tony Brown could be lured away from the Springboks and back to his home country.

Brown has made a huge impact as the Springboks’ attack coach, but some have wondered whether the New Zealander might be tempted by an opportunity that could arise at the All Blacks.

However, Erasmus took to social media this weekend, using an AI-generated video, to make it clear that the coach would not be leaving.

After extending the contract of Erasmus through to 2031, SA Rugby stated that an “announcement on the contract negotiations with other members of the Springbok coaching team will be made in due course”, and Brown is believed to be committed until at least the next World Cup.
