Report: OmniVision unveils its own high-end 200MP sensor, the OVB0D
OmniVision also has a new high-end 200MP camera sensor for upcoming camera flagships, to rival the freshly announced Sony LYTIA 901. According to a report in Korean media, the OmniVision OVB0D is a 200MP 1/1.1-inch imager, so slightly larger, than the 1/1.12-inch LYTIA 901. The sensor features a Bayer filter, but with a different dual on-chip re-mosaic structure to the LYTIA's more complex QQBC. Technically, and we're hypothesizing a bit, due to the lack of proper information, Sony's sensor could have a slight edge in detail, because of its more advanced Quad-Quad Bayer Coding...
