Rihanna has decided to break her silence about her highly-awaited performance at the Super Bowl LVII halftime show.

TMZ caught up with RiRi while she was shopping in Los Angeles on Tuesday 4 October 2022 and she opened up to the tabloid. She told the publication she initially felt “nervous” about her performance, but was excited to make her return to stage performance.

COMEBACK OF THE DECADE?

Rihanna has not performed solo on a stage since her ANTI tour in 2016, and she has not released new music since her feature on PartyNextDoor’s 2020 single Believe It. She has, instead been building her billion-dollar fashion and beauty empire.

More recently she’s started a family with rapper A$AP Rocky. As a new mother to a baby boy born in May 2022, the Grammy-award-winning pop star has kept a low profile, only making a few public appearances.

Rihanna’s fans, dubbed “The Navy” have been ecstatic since she announced her anticipated return to performing with a simple Instagram post of an American football.

Billboard reports that the self-made billionaire’s Superbowl performance will be her first stage performance since the 2018 Grammy Awards. That was when she performed her collaboration with DJ Khaled Wild Thoughts.

Rihanna sets sail for Superbowl show

Rihanna was recently photographed stepping out clad in diamonds and a chic black dress, showing off her long legs and and glowing skin. She was celebrating her boyfriend A$AP Rocky’s birthday on 3 October 2022 at a Los Angeles club.

TMZ recently reported that RiRi and her team were looking at a list of 50 artists to choose from who could join her on stage during the American football event. Fellow pop star, Jennifer Lopez was the last woman to headline the Super Bowl halftime show in February 2022.
