Russia strikes Kyiv: 'Quite a lot of ballistic missiles were fired this morning'
Russia launched a barrage of drones, cruise and ballistic missiles at Kyiv, Ukraine's air force said early Monday. Several series of explosions rocked the Ukrainian capital in the early hours of Monday, sending residents into bomb shelters. "Quite a lot of ballistic missiles were fired this morning", said FRANCE 24's correspondent in Ukraine Gulliver Cragg. "They are among the hardest to shot down, yet the air forces are claiming to have shot down the majority of them, and they are saying that the damage that has been seen around the capital is due to fragments falling rather than direct hits."
