Solar-powered cooking gains popularity in Mexico
In Mexico, a grassroots environmental initiative to use solar power to cook is increasing in popularity. Environmental activist Lorena Harp set up "Cocineras Solares", or Solar Cooks, in the state of Oaxaca. It promotes clean energy, health, and environmental protection. So far, the project has reached 500 women across more than 50 communities in the state.
