Surprising reason why King Charles didn’t reveal type of cancer

The British monarch, King Charles reportedly didn’t reveal what type of cancer he had so he could reach out to a wider number of people rather than a smaller group.

WHY KING CHARLES DIDN’T REVEAL TYPE OF CANCER

A Buckingham Palace source has claimed that the reason why King Charles did not reveal his cancer diagnosis was because he wanted to reach out to a larger number of people who were battling the disease. Buckingham Palace announced King Charles’ cancer diagnosis in February, but the type of cancer was not revealed.

The source claimed that this was a “conscious” choice.

“The King’s decision not to reveal the type of cancer was a conscious choice to be able to reach out to the widest number of people who are experiencing the disease, rather than narrow the focus onto a particular form of cancer,” said a source according to The Times.

KING CHARLES CANCER TREATMENT

Palace sources have confirmed that King Charles’ cancer treatment will be going in a positive direction.

“His treatment has been moving in a positive direction, and as a managed condition the treatment cycle, will continue into next year,” said a source according to New York Post.

“It’s very common for treatment to be ongoing for very long periods of time, as is the treatment that the Princess of Wales went through, which is an intense period of treatment over a year, and then it comes to a point where it’s on an end, and she’s on that recovery from some of the impacts of her treatment,” said Dame Laura Lee, the chief executive of the cancer support charity Maggie, to Sky News.
