Damascus on Sunday announced a ceasefire deal with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) as Syrian troops continued a deadly advance through Kurdish-held territories in the country's northeast. The deal would see SDF forces merged into the government's defence and interior ministries.
