The New $4.99 ALDI Freezer Find I’m Stocking Up On
My family loves the Mama Cozzi products found at ALDI and this newest freezer find did not disappoint.

Anytime I decide to go grocery shopping with my 15-year-old son, I end up buying a lot of things that are not on my list. Most recently, my son came with me to ALDI and found a new pizza he had to try: Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Tuscan Inspired Chicken Flatbread Pizza. “This looks really interesting, Mom,” he pleaded. Of course I said yes.

Why I Love Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Tuscan Inspired Chicken Flatbread Pizza
I’ve written about how much my family loves Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen products, from its ready-to-bake pizza dough to cheesy breadsticks. The large take-and-bake pepperoni pizzas have fed many family members and friends at parties, sleepovers, and impromptu gatherings.
While pepperoni remains our favorite flavor, this new Tuscan Inspired Chicken Flatbread Pizza has become a new delight. The pizza, which weighs just over a pound and serves four people (according to the label), costs only $4.99, which is a bargain for a high-quality frozen pizza. The toppings include white meat chicken, spinach, roasted tomatoes, and garlic, a combination that smelled divine as it cooked in my oven.
The label recommends cooking it right on the middle rack of your oven at 400°F for 15 to 18 minutes, but if you have a pizza stone, I recommend using that for a crispier crust. If you have a powerful convection oven like I do, it will be done in 10 to 12 minutes, so start checking earlier.
When you take it out of the oven, the first thing you’re going to smell is the roasted garlic with a touch of oregano. The pizza has just enough cheese to be ooey and gooey without weighing the crust down. The roasted tomatoes and garlic are nice complements to the spinach and chicken.
The pie is delicious and filling, but because it’s made with chicken and veggies, it tastes lighter than an all-meat or pepperoni pizza. The combination of ingredients makes me think of spring, so it’s a perfect weeknight dinner that you could enjoy al fresco on your patio, if the weather permits. If you have an outdoor pizza oven, this would be a perfect pizza to cook in it.
The only drawback is, in my house, it feeds only two people: my son and whoever gets the chance to snag a slice or two before he finishes it—which means I’m going to stock up on a couple more before they’re gone from ALDI’s freezer section.
