This $14.99 ALDI Find Is a Copycat of a $249 Williams Sonoma Product
This ALDI product is an incredible bargain—it's absolutely beautiful and is helping me fulfill my entertaining dreams.
I've always been a sucker for anything from Williams Sonoma. It's like a museum of entertaining perfection, with table settings that make you want to throw an impromptu dinner party right then and there. My wallet, however, doesn't love the realistic cost of those dinner parties. And that's not even including the food.
So, when I spotted ALDI's new Crofton 20-piece flatware set for just $14.99, I literally gasped. With its sleek lines and modern matte finish, it looks exactly like the $249 set I've seen at Williams Sonoma, but at just pennies on the dollar. Even if it wasn't a stunning modern set, the fact that ALDI is selling a complete 20-piece flatware set for $15 is remarkable. I've already bought three sets—and I'm not even feeling guilty about it.
Why I Love This ALDI Flatware Set
Each 20-piece set includes four place settings: dinner forks, salad forks, soup spoons, teaspoons, and knives. The weight is substantial enough to feel expensive, but not so heavy that your wrist gets tired halfway through your pasta dinner. What really got me giddy, though, was the matte finish; it's perfectly on-trend with both a modern and classic appeal.
I'm partial to the gold version, but there's no wrong answer when it comes to choosing your color. There's a chic-looking copper version and a sleek black metallic finish as well. The colors, finish, style, and weight all contribute to a sophisticated, minimalist design that could easily pass for designer.
As a bonus, they're also suitable for the dishwasher. No special care is required! However, I'll probably continue to hand wash mine for the foreseeable future because I can see every little spot I get on my cutlery after a run through my washer.
I'm most looking forward to bringing them out when I'm entertaining. I'm even considering buying another set. I'm keeping two sets for everyday use and one extra for when guests come over. But it would be nice to have an extra tucked away for backup or to give as a gift. At this price point, it's reasonable to have multiple sets—something that would be impossible to do with the Williams Sonoma set without taking out a small loan.
If, like me, you've been eyeing the Williams Sonoma flatware but can't stomach the price point, this is your chance to grab a dupe. Just don't wait too long. Like most ALDI Finds, once they're gone, they're gone—and trust me, these will sell out fast. They're the perfect mix of practical luxury and smart spending.
