This $29.99 ALDI Find Is a Look-Alike of a $350 Dyson Product
ALDI’s Ambiano Corded Pet Stick Vacuum transforms from a stick vacuum to a handheld vacuum in minutes and cleans up all my family’s messes for under $30.
Cordless vacuums are all the rage, but they are pricey! And sometimes, it's not even worth the hefty cost. I bought a highly-rated cordless vac on Amazon last year after a lot of research, and it stopped working with one charge of the battery. I couldn't get it to work again, and in my busy mom life, I missed the return window.
Frustrated, I took to the product's review section, expressing my disappointment. Fortunately, the company contacted me directly to offer a refund, hoping I'd give it another try. It may have been a fluke that mine was a lemon, but I decided to keep my money and try again in the future.
I'm glad I waited because, for $29.99, I found the Ambiano Corded Pet Stick Vacuum at ALDI. I don't have pets, but its features are perfect for a busy household. And although this one is corded, it was comparable to the Dyson V8 but without the eye-watering price tag. I decided to keep that extra money for something else and picked one up to try.
Why I Love the Ambiano Corded Pet Stick Vacuum
I understand the obsession with cordless vacs. I have a robot vacuum, and I like it so much that I even wrote a story about how it helped me reclaim an hour (a day) of my time back. But I can't even tell you the number of times I've lifted the furniture, unplugged cords, cleaned up toys, and moved items, only to find out that my robot vacuum wasn't charged.
Waiting two hours for it to charge up usually means I sweep the floors to get it over with. So, I know cords aren't exactly sexy, but unlike its battery-operated cousin, this Ambiano vacuum is always ready to go. It never quits mid-cleanup, doesn't require an obnoxious-looking charging station, and is perfect for those "Oh no, the in-laws are dropping by in 10 minutes" emergencies.
My robot vacuum is great for doing a general cleanup of larger spaces, but it misses a lot of things, gets caught up in cords, and often drags shoes and toys around. I'll choose this Ambiano stick vacuum any day for quick efficiency and precision.
It's also versatile. It transforms from a full-length stick vacuum to a handheld vacuum faster than you can say, "Sh*t, I spilled the quinoa," because, yes, it operates in both styles. So far, I've used them both to clean everything from the spilled coffee grinds in my kitchen cupboards and the frightening spaces underneath my appliances to the aftermath of a particularly enthusiastic pasta dinner.
I even did a once over with it after picking up the pieces of several broken wine glasses—the result of a fastball from my toddler's pitching arm. I can even see it coming in handy for less conventional kitchen tasks, like vacuuming off my stand mixer after a particularly dusty batch of homemade bread or doing a deep clean of the drawers.
As I said, I don't have pets. But I tried the pet brush attachment on my couch, and it worked like a dream. If you have fabric dining chairs, this attachment would be very handy. One of my favorite features is the crevice tool.
When I clean my kitchen floor, it always looks great until I get down on my hands and knees and really look at the edges and corners, which seem to act like a black hole for crumbs and mysterious sticky substances. This vacuum laughs in the face of such challenges, easily getting into those tight spots.
Lastly, the setup is a breeze. I had it up and running before I could even locate the instruction manual (which I probably wouldn't have read anyway). If you can operate a light switch, you can use this vacuum.
For less than $30, this ALDI find will be my new kitchen bestie for quick kitchen cleanups and beyond. Whether you're dealing with coffee grinds, grimy corners, or the aftermath of a toddler's unauthorized baseball game, this vacuum is a truly great find.
