This weekend will see a double feature in the Cape with the Hollywoodbets Matchem Stakes and Hollywoodbets Diana Stakes both attracting top-class fields.

Hollywoodbets Durbanville the place to be this weekend

Group 1 winner Pomp And Power, Russian Rock and Chansonette will all make their Cape Summer Season debuts.

Pomp And Power, trained by Justin Snaith and to be ridden by Richard Fourie, and Russian Rock (Dean Kannemeyer with Grant Behr aboard) will contest the Grade 3 Hollywoodbets Matchem Stakes which has a 10-horse field.

Meanwhile, Chansonette, who steps out in the Grade 3 Hollywoodbets Diana Stakes, hasn’t run since 29 January, when beaten in a thriller in the Grade 1 Schweppes Majorca Stakes by SA Horse Of The Year, Captain’s Ransom.

Chansonette, trained y Andre Nel, will have Grant van Niekerk in the irons and has six other horses to beat.
