As the United Nations warned of regional escalation, the Congolese President is hoping for an immediate ceasefire and the unconditional withdrawal of M23 group and its Rwandan allies, but it is unclear whether Kigali is willing to make those concessions. Also in this edition, a grain known as fonio has reemerged in Senegal. Known for its nutritional value, fonio is returning to recipes as an alternative to wheat and rice.
