US sends 15-point peace plan to Iran while deploying troops in the region
The Trump administration is ramping up efforts to end the Middle East war. After Trump said talks were ongoing between Washington and Tehran, Pakistani officials said that the White House had sent a 15-point peace plan to Iran - yet Tehran has dismissed the idea of negotiating with the US. Meanwhile, US media reported that at least 1,000 troops are to deploy to the Middle East. Although it could be to put pressure on Tehran, Iran is also preparing for the possibility of US troops on the ground.
