Royal AM Chairman Andile Mpisane had an unfortunate moment before the Macufe Cup match after making a comical blunder.

On Sunday, Royal AM beat Kaizer Chiefs to lift the Macufe Cup, and there was even a hit out for the KZN club’s chairperson Andile Mpisane, who was subbed on as the game drew to a close.

Social media was filled with reactions to Mpisane coming on and lifting the trophy wearing a captain’s armband “without touching the ball”, while there was also a big reaction to a comical video that showed the chairman slipping over a ball prior to kick off.

Mpisane has previously made a few competitive appearances for the club before their time in the top-flight, but many believe he isn’t up to the standard required.
