More intense weather is on the cards for the North West, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Free State. This is what you can expect on Friday, 30 January. A Yellow Level 2 warning for thunderstorms remains in place for all three provinces.

NORTH WEST

Friday will see partly cloudy and warm conditions in the North West. The day is expected to become cloudy, with scattered showers and thundershowers.

MAHIKENG

In the North West capital, the day will start off partly cloudy, becoming cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers. Temperatures will range between 20°C and 33°C.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Another scorcher is expected in KwaZulu-Natal, with very high UVB rays. Conditions will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers.

DURBAN

Partly cloudy conditions with isolated showers and rain are expected in Durban. Temperatures will reach a high of 29°C.

FREE STATE

Morning fog patches are expected over the eastern parts of the Free State. The day will be cloudy, windy, and warm to hot, with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers.

BLOEMFONTEIN

A maximum temperature of 31°C is expected in Bloemfontein. Conditions will be cloudy and windy, with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers.
