Whatsapp to pull out of Sweden if 'back door' surveillance law passes
Messaging app Whatsapp, owned by Meta, has threatened to leave the Swedish market if a new law is passed which would allow the police and security services to read all communication in Swedish chat apps and emails – even if it’s encrypted.
