Who wins ICC Men’s Player of the Month From Pakistan?

Pakistan spinner Noman Ali won the October 2024 ICC Men’s Player of the Month award over South African pacer Kagiso Rabada and New Zealand spinner Mitchell Santner.

Pakistan’s stunning 2-1 Test series win over England at home was helped by the 37-year-old left-arm orthodox bowler. Pakistan won their first Test series at home since 2021 thanks to Noman’s 20 wickets at 13.85.

“It is a great honour to be named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month,” Noman stated.

I am grateful to my teammates for supporting me during this historic home Test series triumph against England. The team and country always cherish such victories.”

In October, Noman excelled in two Tests. He scored 11/147 and 9/130 as Pakistan won their first Test series at home after three years. His career-best 8/46 in the second Test destroyed England’s batting lineup and secured Pakistan’s triumph.

In the series-deciding third Test in Rawalpindi, Noman scored 45 runs at number nine to give Pakistan a 77-run first-innings lead. He then bowled England out for 112 with a match-winning six-wicket haul to win the series by nine wickets. Noman is the first Pakistani male ICC Player of the Month since Babar Azam in August 2023.
