‘A literal box’: R3.6 million Sea Point studio flat has internet enraged

Not for the first time, a property on Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard – which covers locations in Sea Point, Clifton, Camps Bay, and other affluent areas – has gone viral online for its hefty price tag.

​On TikTok, real estate agent Pasha Dos Santos of Pasha Property Global, gave her followers a look inside a listing of a Sea Point studio flat.

​The agent, who specialises in property in Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard area, revealed the property had been listed for R3.6 million.

​Inside, the apartment featured a living space, kitchen area, and bedroom all in one.

​The fully-furnished apartment boasted a partial view of Lion’s Head.

​Pasha bragged about the location being within walking distance to the beach, close to restaurants and nightlife, and an investment for short-term rental sites like Airbnb.

​However, in the comment section, the public weren’t convinced that the price tag matched the property.

​Pasha responded to the comments, sarcastically adding: “Welcome to the Atlantic Seaboard. Where a studio is basically a tiny palace.”

​In another viral Sea Point listing, Pasha showed her followers a look at a R7 million two-bedroom flat.

​Whilst the property interior boasted modern finishes and amenities, the property did not offer views of either the world-famous beaches or mountains.
